Privacy policy: Quicksloth Accessibility Toolbar

Last updated: 13 October 2026

In short: the plugin has no server of its own and sends nothing anywhere. The choices a visitor makes in the toolbar stay in that visitor's own browser; the site owner's settings stay in the site's own database. Nothing about visitors or sites reaches us.

1. Who we are

Quicksloth Accessibility Toolbar is made by Quicksloth, the brand name of Alfredo Onori, an independent software developer based in Italy ("we", "us"). Contact: support@quicksloth.dev.

Our website and support email are covered by the website privacy notice. The plugin is distributed through the WordPress.org Plugin Directory, which processes data (downloads, update checks, reviews, support forum) under its own privacy policy; we only see the aggregate statistics WordPress.org shows every plugin author (active installations, downloads, versions in use), never individual sites.

2. What the product stores and where

3. How we use the data

We do not receive any data from the plugin, so there is nothing we use. The settings above exist only to run the toolbar on the owner's site. There is no advertising, tracking, profiling or AI service in the plugin.

4. What reaches us

Only what you send us yourself: support emails and messages in the plugin's support forum on WordPress.org (public, under WordPress.org's terms). We use them to answer you and to fix problems (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f)); email is handled as described in the website privacy notice, including transfers outside the EEA.

5. How long data is kept

Visitor choices stay in the visitor's browser until the visitor resets them or clears site data. The site owner's settings stay in the site's database until the plugin is deleted: deleting it from the Plugins screen removes all three options, on every site of a multisite network (deactivating keeps them, so that reactivating restores the settings). Support emails are kept as long as described in the website privacy notice.

6. Your rights and requests

Write to support@quicksloth.dev. Under the GDPR you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data and object to its use. You can complain to a data protection authority; in Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

7. Changes to this policy

If the plugin starts storing or using data in a different way, we will update this policy before releasing that version and change the date at the top. Such changes will also be listed in the plugin's changelog on WordPress.org.
