Terms of use: Quicksloth Accessibility Toolbar Pro
Last updated: 26 October 2026
These terms ("Terms") are an agreement between Quicksloth, the brand name of Alfredo Onori, an independent software developer based in Italy ("we", "us"), and the person or organization that buys, installs or uses "Quicksloth Accessibility Toolbar Pro", the paid add-on for the free Quicksloth Accessibility Toolbar plugin (the "Product") ("you"). By installing or using the Product you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not install or use the Product.
1. Who sells the Product
The Product is sold through Freemius, Inc. ("Freemius"), an authorized reseller and the merchant of record for your purchase. Freemius takes the payment, issues the invoice, collects any sales tax or VAT and pays out refunds, under its end user license agreement for the Product and its terms of service. Refunds follow our refund policy (section 6): you ask us, and Freemius issues them on our instruction. If these Terms and the Freemius agreement differ on payment, billing or renewals, the Freemius agreement applies. If they differ on your rights to the code, section 2 applies. The free Quicksloth Accessibility Toolbar plugin is not covered by these Terms: it is distributed free of charge through the WordPress.org Plugin Directory under the GPL.
2. License
The Product's code is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPL). Nothing in these Terms or in the Freemius agreement limits the rights the GPL gives you to use, study, change and share the code. What you buy is a license key, sold per site: for as long as it is active, it lets you activate the Product on WordPress sites you own or manage for clients, up to the number of sites of your plan (one site, three sites, or unlimited), and receive updates and email support. You can move a license to another site by deactivating it on the old one.
3. Restrictions
You may not share, resell or rent your license key, or use it on more sites than your plan allows. You may not use the Product to break the law or anyone's rights. You are responsible for the use of the Product by the people you give access to, and for the content they add, including the text of any accessibility statement you publish with it.
4. Your content and data
You keep all rights to the content you add through the Product. We claim no rights to it. In your visitors' browsers the Product works like the free plugin: no account, no external requests, no cookies and no tracking; visitors' choices stay in their own browser. To check your license and deliver updates, the Product connects your site's server (admin area and scheduled tasks, never your visitors' browsers) to Freemius, which receives data such as your site's address, the plugin and SDK versions and whether the license is active; two optional items, diagnostic information and the list of your plugins and themes, are off unless you turn them on in the license screen. Freemius also collects the data you enter at checkout. What is sent, who handles it and for how long is described in our privacy policy, which also covers how the plugins store data on your site and in your visitors' browsers.
5. Fees
Prices and plans are shown on the Pro page and at checkout, in US dollars. Licenses are annual and renew automatically at the end of each year unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel the renewal at any time from your Freemius account (customers.freemius.com) or by writing to us; the license then stays active until the end of the year you have paid for. Freemius bills you and collects any applicable taxes (section 1). While your subscription stays active on the same plan, price changes do not change the amount of your renewals.
6. Refunds
If you are not satisfied with the Product for any reason within 30 days of your first purchase, write to support@quicksloth.dev from the email address you used for the purchase (or tell us that address), and we will have Freemius refund the full price. No questions asked. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also have the legal right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days; our 30-day refund covers that period and asks for nothing more. Renewal payments are not refundable, and upgrading a plan does not start a new refund period. When a purchase is refunded, its license key stops working. This policy does not limit any right that consumer law in your country gives you.
7. Support and updates
We provide support by email as described on the support page, with reasonable efforts and no guaranteed response or resolution times. We may update the Product, change or remove features and fix problems; while your license is active, updates are delivered in your WordPress dashboard through the Freemius update service.
8. The platform
The Product runs on WordPress and needs the free Quicksloth Accessibility Toolbar plugin; licenses, payments and updates run through Freemius. We do not control WordPress, Freemius or your hosting. We are not responsible for their availability, changes or outages, or for changes to them that limit what the Product can do.
9. No warranty
To the extent permitted by law, the Product is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Product will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law: (a) we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, such as lost profits, lost revenue or lost data; and (b) our total liability for all claims about the Product is limited to the amount you paid for the Product in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Term and termination
These Terms apply while the Product is installed. They end when you uninstall the Product or your license ends. When your license ends, updates and support stop; features already installed may keep working, and an accessibility statement you have already published stays on your site. We may suspend or end your license if you seriously breach these Terms. What happens to data at the end is described in the privacy policy.
12. If we stop offering the Product
If we decide to stop offering the Product, we will give reasonable notice in advance, normally at least 90 days, by email to the address used for your purchase and on this website.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms for a valid reason, such as a change in the law, in the Product or in how it is sold. We will publish the new version on this page with a new date and, if a change reduces your rights, also tell you by email at the address used for your purchase at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not accept the new Terms, cancel your renewal before that date; if you keep using the Product after it, the new Terms apply.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy. The courts of Italy have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory law gives you the right to go to another court. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections that the law of your country gives you.
