Support: Quicksloth Accessibility Toolbar
How to get help
Email support@quicksloth.dev, in English or Italian. Your message goes to the developer. Once the plugin is live on WordPress.org you can also ask in its public support forum there.
Before you write
- The button does not appear. Check that the plugin is active, that the page or post ID is not listed under Do not show on these pages (IDs, comma-separated) (Settings → Accessibility Toolbar), and that Hide the button on screens narrower than 768 px is off if you are on a phone. If you clicked "Hide toolbar for this visit", the tools are off in that tab and the button comes back, with your choices, in a new tab or a new visit.
- The button appears only after I scroll or tap. Your optimization plugin delays JavaScript until the first interaction (often called "Delay JavaScript execution"). Add
quicksloth-accessibility-toolbarandQSAB_CONFIGto that feature's exclusions, then clear the cache. - The labels are in the wrong language. With Language of the toolbar set to "auto", the toolbar uses the language WordPress sets for each page, which is what multilingual plugins change (we test it with Polylang; WPML uses the same WordPress setting, but we have not tested it ourselves). To force one language, enter a locale such as
it_ITin that field. Until a translation for your language is available on translate.wordpress.org, the labels are shown in English. - A tool does not change part of my theme. Each tool adds a class to the page's
<html>element, and the theme's own CSS can override it. Tell us the theme, the page and the tool: we test the toolbar on Twenty Twenty-Five, Astra and Kadence, with the block editor and with Elementor. - The toolbar shows up inside my page builder's editor. It does not load inside the Elementor editor canvas. For other builders, or for any page, developers can turn it off case by case with the
qsab_should_loadfilter. For example, to hide it on WooCommerce checkout pages:add_filter( 'qsab_should_load', function ( $load ) { return function_exists( 'is_checkout' ) && is_checkout() ? false : $load; } ); - Does the toolbar make my site accessible or compliant? No. An accessibility toolbar helps some visitors; it does not make a website conform to WCAG or to the law. Fix your content and code first.
What to include
- The address of the page where the problem happens, the WordPress version, the theme, any caching or optimization plugin, and the plugin version (Plugins → Installed Plugins), plus the browser and its version if the problem is in the toolbar itself.
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
- The exact text of any error message.
- The date, time and time zone when it happened.
- Optional: a screenshot. Please hide anything confidential first.
Please do not send passwords, API tokens or other secrets. We never need your password or access to your dashboard to help.
